These radioactive elements are then fed into reactors for nuclear fission reactions, releasing thermal energy. The thermal energy is converted into electrical and thermal energy through efficient heat exchangers, driving large compressors that compress the high-temperature, high-pressure gaseous products into liquid fuel.
